SAN FRANCISCO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Comcast Ventures, the venture capital affiliate of Comcast Corporation, today announced the hire of Dinesh Moorjani as managing director based in Santa Monica. A serial entrepreneur, senior operating executive and successful seed investor, Moorjani will lead investments across various sectors, including data and business intelligence, marketplaces and social networks.

Prior to joining Comcast Ventures, Moorjani served as executive-in-residence at Warburg Pincus where he continues to serve as an advisor. He was the founder and CEO of Hatch Labs, where he and his team conceived of, built, and ran mobile startups. Dinesh cofounded Tinder in Hatch Labs. He has been the cofounder and CEO of numerous early stage companies and has also held leadership roles at IAC/InteractiveCorp as well as Samsung Electronics.

He earned his B.S. from Northwestern University and his MBA from Harvard Business School.
