SFG Wealth Planning Services, Inc. was ranked among Financial Advisor Magazine's 2016 list of RIA firms, a nationally recognized ranking of 610 independent wealth management firms.

The survey ranked advisory firms by their percentage of growth in assets under management from year-end 2014 to year-end 2015, in what was generally viewed as a stagnant business environment. SFG was named along with 31 Pennsylvania advisory firms on the list. SFG ranked 490 of firms overall.
FA's RIA Survey & Ranking, a nationally-recognized list of independent wealth management firms, is in its 11th year of publication. To be eligible for ranking, firms must be independent RIAs and file their own ADV statement with the SEC and provide financial planning and related services to individual clients.
In addition to this corporate industry award, SFG Senior Vice President, Director of Finance, Investment Specialist, Adam M. Newman, CFP® has earned the prestigious Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) designation. The CFA Program, which is administered by the CFA Institute, the not-for-profit association of investment professionals, sets a standard that is acknowledged around the world for measuring the competence and integrity of financial analysts, portfolio managers, and investment advisers.
Recipients of the CFA charter have successfully completed the CFA Program, a graduate-level, self-study curriculum and a series of three intensive examinations taken sequentially. Adam has worked in the financial profession for 7 years and with SFG for 4 years. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Economics, a CFP® Board-Registered Program, from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 2009. Adam is active in the Financial Planning Association. He holds his Series 65 and is an investment advisor representative of SFG Investment Advisors, Inc., registered with the Securities Exchange Commission.
