Jonathan Meyers is serving as the Chief Actuary Officer of InnovaCare, Inc. Prior to joining InnovaCare, Meyers served as the Director of Actuarial Services, Medicare and Medicaid for Horizon BCBS, the largest carrier in New Jersey. He was also previously the Chief Actuary at HealthCare Partners in New York, a Division of Heritage Medical Systems as both the CFO and VP of Managed Care at various times.
He has also provided Employee Benefits Consulting to large Employers and Unions, including SEIU 1199, International Paper, AXA Financial, Johnson & Johnson and Northwell Health (formerly North Shore-LIJ Health System), giving insight and strategic advice to Senior Executives on positioning of Healthcare Benefits for employees and retirees.
Penelope Kokkinides is the Chief Administrative Officer at InnovaCare, Inc. Kokkinides has more than two decades of health care experience specializing in government programs (Medicare and Medicaid) and the managed care industry. She has extensive knowledge and expertise in developing clinical programs and managing health care processes and operations with a focus on improving efficiencies and organizational infrastructure.
Kokkinides has served in a number of executive roles, including as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Centerlight HealthCare, where she was responsible for overall management and strategic direction of the managed care division; Chief Operating Officer of Touchstone Health; and Corporate Vice President for Care Management and Disease Management at AmeriChoice, a business unit of UnitedHealth Group, where she was instrumental in developing and implementing the company’s health model.
Mike Sortino has been named the Chief Accounting Officer of InnovaCare. He was previously the Controller of Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance Co., Ltd. (U.S. Branch). Prior to Samsung, Sortino served for over 5 years as the Chief Financial Officer of HCC Specialty, a managing general agent for Houston Casualty Company. His experience includes more than 20 years in the insurance and reinsurance industries, as well as over 5 years in public accounting.
