(NYSE: VOYA), announced today that Diane McCarthy, senior vice president and CFO Insurance Solutions, has been appointed to the Board of Covenant House Pennsylvania (CHPA), a nonprofit that provides support services to homeless, runaway and at-risk youth throughout Pennsylvania.

“We are thrilled to welcome Diane to our Board of Directors and we look forward to her fresh insight and perspective,” said John Ducoff, executive director, CHPA. “CHPA not only meets immediate needs for our youth, such as shelter, food, and clothing, but also provides services that address long-term concerns, including health care, educational programs, and vocational preparedness. Diane’s leadership and expertise will help us advance our goal of expanding our programming to serve more at-risk youth.”

In her current role at Voya, McCarthy leads the finance function for the Individual Life and Employee Benefits business lines, including financial reporting, planning and analysis and strategic planning. Previously, she was the head of Strategic Cost Management and Procurement for Voya. Prior to joining Voya, McCarthy worked at Lincoln Financial and was responsible for funds management, IRA strategy, distribution technology, strategic planning, plan sponsor relationship management and advisor-based sales. She began her career with Ernst & Young and has extensive experience in the banking and insurance industries.

The organization’s Covenant House Orientation in Career Enhancement Skills (CHOICES) program is a job readiness program that teaches youth to create resumes, job search skills and perform on interviews. In addition, specific modules are designed to teach math and science skills and enhance financial literacy.
