Geoffrey Wade
Geoffrey Wade, certified Fascial Stretch Therapy® trainer and owner of Outlaw Training and Fitness in Riverton, NJ, was an invited guest trainer at Todd Durkin’s annual NFL preseason performance camp held at Fitness Quest 10 in San Diego, California. The weeklong pre-mini camp performance training, which hosts more than twenty current NFL players from across the country, is an annual gathering focused on strength, conditioning and fieldwork activities. Geoff provided trainees pre-training stretching and recovery conditioning using Fascial Stretch Therapy™, a comprehensive stretching technique not previously offered at the camp. Among those who attended were several skilled position players from the Philadelphia Eagles and New Orleans Saints, who are regular clients of Todd Durkin.
Stretch to Win – Fascial Stretch Therapy® (STW-FST®) is a complete, full body manual therapy and movement training system that targets muscles in combination with the connective tissue that surrounds muscles, bones, joints and joint capsules. Geoff is Level 3 Certified in the table-based assisted stretching technique that focuses on the fascia and joint capsule as the key elements in achieving optimal flexibility, strength, performance and pain relief. To achieve this highest level of FST certification, he completed the 10 layers of specific technique principles applied to multiple FST movement patterns for optimum results and is currently one of fewer than 80 such trainers nationwide.
Todd Durkin, MA, CSCS, an internationally recognized strength, speed and conditioning coach, hosts this personal training program each year at Fitness Quest 10 in San Diego, a world-class facility he founded in 2000 that has been named one of “America’s Top 10 Gyms” by Men’s Health for the past 5 years. Says Wade, “Todd has been a mentor and inspiration for me, so when he asked me to take part in this year, I jumped at the opportunity. It was a great honor to work hand in hand with his team and help enhance the performance some of today’s top NFL athletes using the FST technique I’ve embraced here at Outlaw.”
