MOUNT LAUREL, N.J., June 28, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Marlin Business Services Corp. (NASDAQ:MRLN), a leader in the commercial equipment financing industry, announced that Dave Herring has been named Vice President of Sales of its Transportation Finance Group. Also joining the group is Jack Dison as Sr. Business Development Manager and David Fritzshall as Sr. Business Development Manager. The new additions to the sales team further expand the group Marlin launched in late 2015 to provide financing for the acquisition of new and used commercial trucks and trailers.
In his position with Marlin, Herring will be responsible for national development of partnerships with heavy-duty truck dealerships. Prior to joining Marlin, Herring was Senior Vice President for GE Capital Transportation Finance. His previous work experience includes sales and marketing positions with Associates Commercial Equipment Finance Corporation and CIT. He has been active with the American Trucking Association and American Truck Dealers Association and is a 25-year veteran in transportation finance.
“Dave’s depth of strategic and sales management experience are an ideal fit to lead the Transportation Finance Group,” said Ed Siciliano, Marlin’s Chief Sales Officer. “We’re delighted to have him join the Marlin team to help us grow our valued relationships with commercial truck and trailer dealers.”
Jack Dison will be responsible for sales in the Southwest sales region. His prior position was as business development manager with Engs Commercial Finance. He has worked previously with GE Capital Transportation Finance and Bank of America.
David Fritzshall will be responsible for sales in the Southeast sales region. Prior to joining Marlin, he was business development manager with Engs Commercial Credit. Previous work experience includes roles at Nationwide Haul and Ascentium Equipment Finance.
“I’m extremely pleased to be working with such experienced industry talent to drive Marlin’s transportation finance growth,” said Herring. “The addition of Jack Dison and David Fritzshall to the team, which includes assistant vice president Roger Beil in the Midwest sales area, will enable us to provide transportation dealers with financing expertise and the highest levels of customer service.”
