Philadelphia firm well-positioned for WBE / MBE projects

Wright Commissioning, the Philadelphia region’s only independent building commissioning firm, has been certified as a Women’s Business Enterprise by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council, PA, DE, sNJ. The WBE certification along with the firm’s MBE certification makes the firm eligible for many civic, municipal and government projects.

“It continues to be true that many woman and minority-owned businesses have a long way to go to achieve revenues on par with male and non-minority owned firms,” said Kim Wright, CEO, a Hispanic- and Asian-American. “As a woman and a double minority, I’m pleased with the certification and am hopeful that it will enhance the success of our business.”

To qualify for WBE certification, a business must be 51% owned, operated and controlled by a woman. The business must be a for-profit enterprise that physically resides in the United States or one of its territories. Wright Commissioning earned MBE certification in April 2016.
