Valerie Collado
The VWR Foundation, a charitable organization dedicated to giving back to the science community, is excited to announce the appointment of Valerie Collado as the Foundation President and Vey Garofalo as a Board Member.
"It has been an honor to support the Foundation and I am excited to accept this new role," shared Valerie Collado. "I look forward to working with the team to provide even greater support to organizations and programs in the science community."
Valerie was one of five VWR associates that established the VWR Foundation in 2009. Since its inception, she has served in various positions to support the growth of the VWR Foundation. In addition to her role on the VWR Foundation, she currently serves as VWR's Director of Corporate Communications. In this position, Valerie is responsible for internal communications, public relations and community engagement. As part of her focus, Valerie helps to promote and strengthen VWR's brand, culture and associate engagement.
The Foundation is also happy to welcome new Board Member Vey Garofalo. As a Board Member, she will focus on building awareness of the Foundation within the VWR Sales organization. Vey currently serves as VWR's Vice President of Sales for the E&MR/Healthcare segment. During her eight-year tenure, she has held numerous positions including Region Director and Production Chemical Specialist.
